Important Notice

Ashcroft GP Partners have issued an important notice about the growing challenges in General Practice across the UK.

Like a small shop serving more people without increased stock or staff, practices face increasing pressure with only 6% of the NHS budget. This equals about 30p per patient per day.

To protect the future of General Practice and ensure good care, we will limit patient contacts per GP to 25 per day - the recommended safe limit. Once this limit is reached, patients will be directed to other services like pharmacies, NHS 111, or A&E.

We ask for your patience and understanding, and urge you to support us by educating others about these challenges.

Opening Times

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Thursday (Training) Closed 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Bank Holidays Closed
Good Friday & Christmas Day Closed

Our Services

We offer a wide range of medical services and support for our patients.

You Might Not Need to See a GP

Long telephone queues are common due to unnecessary calls. Before calling, consider these alternatives:

  • NHS 111 - 24 hours for acute medical problems
  • Local pharmacists - for advice on medicines or minor illness
  • Direct physiotherapy - for muscle/joint problems
  • District Nurses - 01274 256 131 for wounds, dressings, elderly care
  • Health Visitors - 01274 221 223 for babies/children
  • Midwives - 01274 623 952 for pregnancy-related matters
